The skillet's shimmering blue color results from the heat treatment. When combined with organic virgin coconut oil, it is an effective pan seasoning method. The blue patina changes with use, but the oil seasoning will continue to contribute to an easily obtained nonstick surface.
The 10" French Skillet is an excellent choice for everyday cooking with a sidewall that allows for basting and tossing. Our comfortable handle is riveted, slowing the transfer of heat. Because the pans are handmade, the handles and upper width dimensions are approximate.
